Another Idea

The black Cat waited in the dewy meadow with the cold grey morning light filtering through the tress hoping Sin wold return today. He was tow weeks longer than he should. If he did not return today, Cat would seek help from Marsh. That is if she would be any help to them. Cat told Sin to let him go as well, but he thought it would be too dangerous. Maybe next time he would listen to some advice instead of running to fix things. If there was a next time.

Just another idea. Things have been a little wild for me lately. Which is why I have not posted in a while. Keep checking back because I am feeling myself again.

New Story.

Well folks this is another one of my ideas. This one is not long. Hope you enjoy.

“Help the Faeries before its too late!!!”
That was the last text message I received from Jean two months ago. Since then I have been on a wild hunt, so to speak. Let’s just say for argument’s sake there are things in this world you not realize. Faeries being just one of the many things people have stopped believing in.

The last part of this story.

Well, this is the end of this story as of now. I am working on this one and I can’t seem to find any where this should go next. Hope you enjoyed this story and will be posting more as it comes available. Without futher ado the last part:

“She is here, keep looking. And it looks like I will be getting your pay for the next month. Never bet against someone who knows how Mages act.”
As I kept moving, I wondered why James had wagered against William. Surely Queen Miar would be interested in knowing that her own men bet on the outcome of the missions that they were sent. If they knew my true identity, why had they not acted? I began fleeing towards the line of trees that were near the road, a large shadow melted into view and walking very fast towards me causing me to spin around and start running towards the trees.
“Well, Tream, what did you see? Demanded William.
“Sir, just as Ream and I were closing in, the darkness became heavy around her and we lost sight of her. If we didn’t know that she was Mage Errigal, we would think her to be part Faye.”
“What is everyone’s problem with the Faye tonight? The tales that everyone is afraid of were made up by us. Stop talking nonsense. She is just another mage; there is no Faye within her. She used one of her tricks to escape us. More than likely she is still within hearing distance. Keep searching for her. I don’t want to report a failure to capture a mage, no matter how great they are supposed to be.”
Things just keep getting better with every breath, for the Seekers at least. I could not believe I had been caught in one of their traps. It would seem that I would have been better off asking for help from the Faye. It was too late to think that. To keep from being escorted back to the Queen, I kept running through the trees, since they were the few safe places for Mages. A gentle thought reminded the trees they needs to protect me and sent a plea for shelter to the Elves who lived in the area. I knew help would be questionable because of the standing treaty with Queen Miar.
As fatigue set in my legs, the morning light began filtering through grey clouds.

Part four of my story

“Aye William is my name, now if you please.”
Silly man if he really thinks this proves anything. A simple illusion, which any mage could do, would work on the average person, but I must remember that William and his companion may not just be average people. So the picture would have to be of an actual person close to me; that way they could feel the connection I have to them. This idea was beginning to like very bad one. With one last thought, I began to bring up the image of April, my little sister that I had not seen in a few years, who would help for the aging part. It was hard not to make April look like Mother. Our mother has been sick for many years but had aged well because she was a minor mage, which explains how I got my ability. If I made April look like our mother when she was better, the Seekers could locate my family quickly and use their welfare against me. I must take caution. I could tell by looking at the two gentlemen, that they were starting to believe me and now I could keep tabs on them, without worrying about them following me.
“Alright, Err, we believe what you have told us. However, if we are going to be traveling tonight, then you must listen to what we have to say and follow what we tell you. It is dangerous to travel at night especially for ladies. Stay close and let us do the talking. One of the Faye’s favorite prey is night travelers.”
It was hard for me to keep a straight face at this. What some people will be believe. And to top it off, a Seeker no less, thought the Faye are dangerous. They were a Mage’s best communication. Of Course, now I know they didn’t know who I was. I would have to keep in mind what these men said. Mistress Morgyn would get a kick out of this one. That is if she was going to talk to me after trusting Seekers over her own people in this matter, no matter how strongly I felt about it. Trusting her was one thing, but some of her people were more loyal to Queen Miar more than Mistress Morgyn knew. To help her, I was willing to risk her wrath and future help from the Faye.
The traveling for the first couple of hours went fairly smooth. There were many times I had trouble dealing with certain problems that came about. One problem stayed with us, the two that were following us. If my companions were Queen’s Seekers, then they were playing their part as normal travelers very well. I could not let my full mage abilities be seen nor felt. However, we could not be slowed down or attacked by them. My sense of urgency was growing with each step. What was I going to do? There is no time to think, just time to act; our unwelcome company was upon us. The blackness began to feel more like a heavy cloak wrapping me within itself as I moved a fraction of an inch by instinct, two pair of hands grabbed the empty space that I had just occupied.
“Damn, Will, she is gone. Just like a Faye.” James cursed.

Part Three

things were turning out, they might just catch up to me before I reach the next town if I don’t ask for some help from either some other traveler or from the Faye. Asking the Faye for their help would the most likely thing but then other mages would be able to ask about me and then my plans would be known. I knew that there was a couple of Faye that did not help any mages besides me because of the favors done for them in the past but that did not stop them from talking to each other about me. The solution seemed easy enough but would the humans I picked be willing to believe that I was doing what I thought was right and not negating my duties or even worse turning rouge like that Gerald?
As I was packing the saddle bags and saddling my tired horse again, a thought kept coming back to me. The two men that were talking about me didn’t seem to be the normal pair traveling together. The one called William did not appear to be as old as the others thought him to be. Could he be a Queen’s agent? If he was then the other man, James must be as well. I knew that the Queen’s agents came in pairs because of the line of work that they were in is extremely dangerous. Only mages that could prove their unfaltering loyalty could become agents. I had turned down becoming a Seeker as only a few knew them. There have only been a couple times they could not find what the Queen sent them out for. The results of those fruitless trips are still something that is not discussed. If those two men are Seekers then they might not know who I am at this moment. I had been careful to keep the hood up as if it were cold which was not too unbelievable since it was early fall. No one seemed worried about me sitting alone instead of being around the big fire. All this considered I realized that I was relying on chance too much and asking them to go with me would let me keep an eye on them just in case they were Seekers. Done with packing, I set off to ask if they would accompany me tonight.
When I found them, they were quietly discussing with each other. I was only able to catch the last couple of words and they sounded strangely like these two men might know who I really was. For a fleeting moment I was tempted to turn and leave as quick as possible, but then decided if they knew me, it meant a pursuit I didn’t have time for nor wanted.
“Good evening. I was wondering if the two of you would be kind enough to accompany a lady on her journeys. I know that it is night and the worst sort travel at night, but I must make it to the docks soon. My mother is ill and a ship will be leaving within the next week. I need to be on it.”
“Lady….we don’t know your name. How are we to be sure that you really are on the errand that you say you are on? Not just bandit who is trying to deceive us. We saw you ride in after everyone else. Prove to us your errand and we will consider your request for our company.” William said.
“If you insist on such silly things which anyone can do William; that is your name if my memory serves me well? My name is Err.” I said.

Here is part of a story that I have started.

This story will be done in parts. Hope you guys enjoy!! Please let me know what you think about it.

With nearly the last of their strength, the Elders sent out the dream yet again to the Lost One. They had been sending these dreams for what seemed like an eternity instead of the past year. However, each time the dreams were sent out their strength waned a little more.

“My fellow Elders, this is the last time that the dreams will be sent to the Lost One. We can only hope that she will understand with the instructions that we have been sending. If she does not, we know that our time is over, and the Dark One will have his chance at the Lost One. For now, we will rest until we know she is on her way. If she leaves I will be able to tell her name to you all. Anyone who feels her movements must tell the others.” Said Elder Ben.

Three days of rest passed slowly for the Elders. None of them were sure if any of them were able to feel the Lost One. The last time the Dark One found the Lost One before any movement was felt. That will not happen again. They could not lose this time; if they did it could mean the end of the Lost Ones and them. The youngest Elder, Ara, put the fears all of them were feeling to rest when she came running to the main chamber with her robes billowing behind her.

“She is on her way. At first I was not sure, but there is no mistaking her passage through the land. She will arrive before the Winters. However, she is being followed by Seekers.”

“The Lost One will try to return to us. We will not be able to help Mary anymore. She must use her skills and remember her instructions on the rest of her journey. Now we will make ready for her to stay with us. Her name must not be spoken outside of these walls. If the Dark One finds out her name, then all our work will be for nothing.”

Only Elder Ara noticed the name that Elder Ben gave them seemed false. She must ask him about this. The only reason he would give a false name was if he thought one of the Elders had betrayed them. She hated to think about what might happen if Ben had given the Lost One’s true name. She hurried after Ben so she could talk to him about this. Gods help them if she was correct in her thoughts.

As twilight descend upon the grove of trees, none of the travelers seemed to notice the lone figure that came riding in after most had already set up camp. I could not have hoped for more than that, because if I was discovered then there would be hell. And that being the last thing that I wanted. I ran away in hopes to find what had been calling to me. For the past year, I woke in a cold sweat trying to remember what my dreams had been telling me. However, it was a couple of weeks before I finally remembered what they meant and now here I was on my own with just luck. But that was only going to get me to a point and just my skills would be left.
