We have a garden. Well maybe I should say we had a garden. There are still tomatoes but that is just about all which is left. I finally got enough to can. Yes I said can. Don’t let that little word scare you. It really is easier than it seems. Want to see what it looks like??
Not too bad for the first time. If you are thinking about canning for the first time I suggest the Ball Blue Book guide to preserving. My poor battered copy has just about had it. Maybe I can find another copy to replace it.
So the next time you think you can’t can, just stop breathe and go find this book.
Psst…..Do you remember me? Well I have been on a break from blogging. In this time my midget, hubby, and I have been spending lots of time together. However, I am happy to announce there will be more posts and something new coming to this blog. I hope y’all will enjoy.
Until we next meet,
I decied to take a couple of months off from writing to see if it would help me gain some new ideas. I am happy to report it may have worked. Well, I also lost my muse. So there could not be any writing for a while due to that as well. I am not promising anything but I have been working on a new idea. Hopefully it will be ready to be shown on here soon. I must be popping off. More of the idea is bounding around in the empty space of my brain.
Until we next meet,
When I looked at my calander today(which I will say I do not do very often)I could not believe March was nearly gone. I asked myself where did it go? It just started like two weeks ago. Then my husband told me I spent it doing something great: spending more time with my little Freya. Well, at that point I remembered why I love him no matter what.
Speaking of Freya. Today was one of my days off which means I got to spend it with her. Tomorrow is the last day off and boy do we have lots planed. Come back and look for the pictures and a new part of my story tomorrow. I think I will be posted new ideas and my writings on Thursdays. Hopefully I can keep up.
Off to bed with me(after I go look at the little monkey).
Until we next meet,
Okay, I am back. I promise. I have been spending time with my little monkey. And I have to say that I have leaned loads from her in this little time that I have gotten to spend with her. For example, she loves to watch Cinderella over and over. She also likes to stay up after we put her to bed. But I have to say my favorite thing is some of the things she says. Today she learned how to say you are so adorable. Then she takes it back. She is going to be a hand full one of these days.
Well, I guess maybe I should have known that it may be that no one reads this. We all feel like there is someone out there who would like to know about our lives.
Do you ever wish you could make up a new story and start a new life somewhere else? Maybe it was easier before you had to give all your information out when you started a new job or tried to get a new place to stay. Today I think we depend on our information too much.
Okay, back to the point of this post. Has anyone wondered if they could make up a new story and restart their life? I am not saying anything bad if you have or have not. It does not mean I am not happy with my life. I love my family. Maybe what I mean is has anyone daydream if they could restart their lives? Take a new name in a new town where no one knew you and do something that you have never done before.
Glitter Bug and I are going to color. Hope everyone is doing well.
Until we meet next,
Well, as my husband and I started on deep cleaning the house, we found something kinds weird. First maybe I should give some background information. When I went back to working forty hours a week at the park for the first day, I didn’t take my laptop and camera.(Which I should say I do regularly now and usually did/do.) Well, by the time, my husband made it home from the job he was working, he found out that someone had broken into the house. As you can imagine home suddenly did not feel like home anymore. I raced home from my mother-in-law’s to see what happened, we found out they took my laptop (which had all of my baby girl’s pictures and my documents(we have been able to recover most of the stuff we lost.)) our camera, the old coins we had been saving for our daughter. And the glass and wood they took out to get into our home.Well, really the most important thing is none of us were home and no one was harmed.
Okay, back to deep cleaning. We started cleaning out behind the washer and dryer. Yes I know why did it take us so long to clean behind the washer? Well, I do work two jobs and spend most of my free time with Glitter Bug. Anyway, low and behold, behind the washer was the glass and the wood we thought they took. Wow right? I was happy. God gave us a little something back. Besides our health.
My husband takes it to police station and after a twenty minute wait they tell him to come back on Thursday. That is when the officer who came to our house will be back. Does that mean they can’t do anything? Why can’t someone else help. We have the case number still. Just plain weird to me.
Glitter Bug is bringing me stuff, dress up time.
So, of course I thought I would make some goals for myself over the next year. If you notice I didn’t say resolutions but goals. Resolutions can be broken and are often times, however, goals are something you try to achieve. Thus I hope to achieve these thing but it is not a big deal if I don’t make them. Here goes:
1. Go to church more.
2. Take more pictures of my family.
3. Spend more time with my daughter.
4. Start on the quilt for my husband.
5. Learn how use my sewing machine.
6. Teach my daughter more things.(She can count to 10 in English and Spanish)
7. Work on my writing, seriously.
8. Go on more than one date with hubby.
9 Try to read twenty books and give my idea of the book.
10. Go on vacation with my family.
Now, that is a nice list. Things that can be done. None of the negative stuff that people are so worried about. I may not be in the best shape or even be the best looking person, however, I am happy. And if I am not , this is not the place to be telling it.
I think I can start on the book list by going to read “Under the Dome” by Stephen King.
Until we next meet,
